Odor nuisance at the Department of Chemistry
A chemical odor was observed this morning on the second floor hall in the Department of Physics building close to the Kvarkki restaurant (at the Chemistry end of the building).

As a precaution, part of the building is closed and one lecture has been moved to the Nano building. The Fire Department has been called to check the source of the odor. Both staff and students should avoid the building. We shall give you more information once the premises have been checked.

Update at 9.40 am:
According to the fire department, the incident has not caused danger to the public. As a precaution, approximately 30 persons at Survontie have been evacuated from the Department.
