JYX digital archive is updated to -based repository software and new server infrastructure on Wed 12 Feb 2025 at 15:00. Duration of the maintenance break is c. one hour. At the same time, user interface for JYX is completely renewed with the adoption of -based search view. Similar technology is used in and .

Notes about the update:

  • URL addresses used by JYX are changed. Direct links pointing to individual files (/bitstream/handle/ in path) will no longer work after the update, but URN- or (e.g. for research datasets) DOI-based links with persistent identifiers, and addresses with /handle will continue to to point to the item description page, e.g. .
  • With the new UI, traditional collection hiearchy used by JYX will be remain in the backend (browsing will be primarily based on metadata such as item type, or related JYU unit), but option to search materials based on collection (e.g. outputs of a research project or conference papers from a proceedings published in JYX) will be incorporated to the new UI as well. In addition, metadata in JYX has been harmonised and extended e.g. follow-up group information has been imported from Converis to self-archived publications.
  • Search indexes are updated after the service break, which may cause temporary outages for c. a day. There may be additional delays related to URN redirects and visibility of JYX metadata in other services (e.g. Finna).
