The book Bridging Humanities and Science Education: The SCISSORS Project, presents our innovative approach in bridging science education and the development of social competencies. The purpose is to lay the pedagogical foundation for an educational framework combining the sciences and the humanities, and achieve impact through collaborative research and educational activities. Designed for educators, principals of educational institutions and decision-makers seeking to implement a novel pedagogical program. This ebook advocates for a paradigm shift where soft skills and critical, analytical thinking are not seen in contrast but as interdependent, fostering a symbiotic relationship for a more impactful and holistic education.

The SCISSORS project is our collaborative work with Rogers Foundation - Hungary and Gedania 1922 Association - Poland. Thus, the ebook is not only written in English language but also available in   and

The project, incorporates social competencies into science teaching which can help students discover their world through scientific metaphors. Simultaneously, the project also focuses on soft skills and social competencies to establish a reflective connection with each other and ourselves that aids curiosity and motivation to understand scientific concepts.

Connecting scientific knowledge with self-knowledge can be a powerful way to gain insights about ourselves and our world. This approach contributes to new, creative ways to teach science.
