FITFORTHEM: Co-creation in an academic context – a new era of innovative collaboration and creative work culture ahead?

The Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ has been involved in the FIT FORTHEM project to organize matchmaking between the academic and the non-academic sector, that is businesses, entrepreneurs, investors, public organizations, associations, NGO’s, civil society and other relevant stakeholders. Cooperation across disciplines and close interaction with society is a way to build innovative working community and the project has offered a great opportunity to practice co-creation and creative skills with our university partners and external stakeholders.

JYU organized six co-creation workshops with and the mission was to develop models of co-creation, to find new research-based solutions to societal challenges and to generate one case study from each workshop. An analysis of the workshops and their relation to the Forthem Labs gives insight of the results and some practical advice for building co-creation.
