The Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ received the European Heritage Label yesterday in Brussels. The award is the first of its kind in Finland.

In his thank-you speech Professor Heikki Hanka recalled that Finland, one of the poorest countries in Europe, had risen to prosperity through equal education. As an investment, it is sustainable, as the impact lasts for more than generations.

The campus highlights the significance of the Finnish and European education system as a basis for equal and democratic society.
