The first network to pilot the Cross-Institutional Study Service has been opened and therefore there are new cross-study functionalities for students in Sisu. On the "Search for courses" page there is a new tab for Cross-institutional courses. In the study plan under the optional courses search there is now a possibility to include cross-institutional studies offering in the search.

This may cause confusion for students who this does not concern, because they will not be able to find any of these studies yet. The first network in the pilot is University of Helsinki & Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥: Physical Chemistry. The pilot will expand in 2024 and beyond. Gradually the usage will increase and there will be more networks on offer. You can get up-to-date information about the networks from your department.

Cross-institutional study service allows students to register for courses from other Finnish higher education institutions by using their home university's study system. The grades will automatically transfer to the home university study register.

The student's Sisu instructions have been updated about cross-study, and as the piloting progresses, more updates will be made if necessary.
