Best Young Researcher Award for Postdoctoral Researcher Zheng Chang

Researcher in wireless communications
During last 5 years, Dr. Chang has dedicated his research effort in the general area of wireless communications. He has published more than 100 papers and made significant contributions on the development of 5G, green communications, heterogeneous networks and convergence of computing and communications. He has investigated various effective mechanism to coordinate the multi-domain resources in the modern wireless communication systems, in order to to enable ubiquitous and efficient connectivity.
Active in the IEEE community
In addition to the research works, Chang has also actively involved in the academic activities, especially in the IEEE community. He serves as editor of IEEE Access and Springer Wireless Networks, and guest editor for IEEE Wireless Communications, IEEE Communications Magazine, IEEE Network, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, EURASIP Journal on Wireless Communications and Networking, Physical Communications, International Journal of Distributed Sensor Networks, and Wireless Communications and Mobile Computing.
Other awards
Chang has also been awarded by the Ulla Tuominen Foundation, the Nokia Foundation and the Riitta and Jorma J. Takanen Foundation for his research excellence.
Background
Zheng Chang received the B.Eng. degree from Jilin University, Changchun, China in 2007, M.Sc. (Tech.) degree from Helsinki University of Technology (Now Aalto University), Espoo, Finland in 2009 and Ph.D degree from the Ģֱ, Jyväskylä, Finland in 2013. Since 2008, he has held various research positions at Helsinki University of Technology, Ģֱ and Magister Solutions Ltd in Finland. During June to August in 2013, he was also visiting researcher at Tsinghua University, China, and during April to May in 2015, he was also visiting researcher at University of Houston, TX.
