Research at Movi focuses on internationalisation, language and communication skills as well as community-based university pedagogy. Research is strongly linked to university teaching practices and the results of research are used to develop education at the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥.

Movi's innovative and systematic development work on teaching and guidance has always been based on the latest research. Movi has designed several new pedagogical models for language learning and teaching for  HEIs. Movi's 
researcher-teachers and experts participate in numerous projects, carry out significant research and publish actively.

AAKE – a follow-up study on the development of academic expertise

Movi and the Finnish Institute for Educational Research have launched a follow-up study AAKE to monitor the development of students’ academic expertise during the completion of bachelor’s degrees.

Language and Academic Assessment for Programmes taught in English (Academic Readiness Screening / ACRES)

Movi has implemented an Academic Readiness Screening - ACRES - process for applicants that combines academic language with academic readiness skills.
