The Seminaarinmäki campus highlights the significance of the educational system of Finland and Europe as the foundation of an equal and democratic society. Both in Europe and around the world, the Finnish educational system and teacher training are an inspiring example of an educational system for all. The seminary and its successors, the Jyväskylä College of Education and the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥, have participated in a range of international collaboration to further develop education as well as research in the field.
The Seminaarinmäki area was designed and built to support high-quality teacher training. With its well-preserved historical layers, the Seminaarinmäki campus is Finland’s best representative of the history of equal education.
