Natural History Museum for visiting groups
We organise Guided tours and study visits to the Natural History Museum. Guided tours and study visits should always be reserved at least two weeks in advance. We implement various theme tours and study visits according to each group’s wishes. The maximum size of a guided group is 30 persons per guide.
We welcome you to visit University Museum attractions in groups or as an individual visitor!
Group bookings for the Natural History Museum
- Please book a visiting time for your group in advance even if your group is visiting our exhibitions self-guided.
- You can also book a visit on a weekday morning before the museum opens to the public.
- You can make a reservation by phone or email.
- Please remember to inform the museum as soon as possible if you cancel your visit.
Guided tours
- Please book your tour well in advance, at least two weeks before your visit.
- The maximum size of a guided group is 25 persons per guide.
- The Natural History Museum can take two guided groups at a time. Large groups can be divided into two guided groups.
Prices
- On weekdays from 8am to 4pm 50 €/group, in the evenings and weekends 60 €/group (prices including VAT)
Adults and school groups up to 25 persons/guide, daycare groups up to 15 persons/guide - For Jyväskylä City schools and day care centers the guided tours are free of charge during weekdays. Also all integration and disabled groups are free of charge.
- For the groups of the Jyväskylä University members, the guided visits are free of charge on weekdays from 8am to 4pm.
