Swedish for international students () is a course for beginners and no previous knowledge is needed. You will learn how to introduce yourself and discuss family, free time, plans, studies and other basic topics. We will deal with basic grammar such as nouns, pronouns, verbs (present and past tense) and word order. Both written and oral exercises are included. In addition, we will discuss some cultural issues.
Swedish for International Students 2 () is meant for students who have taken the course XRU0006 Swedish for International Students or who have learned the basics of Swedish somewhere else. We will begin with revision of the most basic vocabulary and grammar, such as basic nouns, adjectives, verbs, prepositions, pronouns and word order in main clauses. During the course, we will deal with e.g. the perfect and pluperfect tenses, word order in subordinate clauses, the comparative and superlative forms of adjectives, adverbs, reflexive pronouns etc. Both written and oral exercises are included.
The teaching languages of both the courses are English and Swedish.
