Welcome to YSF 2025
You are warmly invited to join the annual Young Scientist Forum in Catalysis, which will take place at in Jyväskylä on April 4th, 2025.
Young Scientist Forum in Catalysis is arranged annually by the and this is the 9th edition of the meeting. YSF brings together Finnish experts in catalysis and offers an excellent venue for young researchers to present their work, to network, and to meet colleagues from different branches of catalysis in both academy and industry.

This year's plenary speakers will discuss the role of electrocatalysis in the decarbonisation and green transition of the chemical industry.

YSF2025 Program
The meeting starts with a welcome coffee at 11:00 and ends with a dinner starting at 19:30. The scientific programme consists of plenary lectures, oral presentations, and a poster session.
The meeting also includes lunch, coffee break, and the annual board meeting of the Finnish Catalysis Society.

Registration and Abstract Submission
Registration is open and closes on March 18th. Please note that the deadline will not be extended.
The participation fee is 60 € per person, it is paid upon registration. The registration fee includes participation in all scientific activities, coffee breaks, lunch, and dinner.

Contributions
Early career researchers can present their work either as a poster or an oral presentation (8–10 slots available).
Oral presentations
The time slot for oral presentations is 15 minutes including discussions (for example 12 min presentation + 3 min discussion). Presentations by PhD students and Postdocs are prioritized. Invited speakers have 30 minutes including discussion.
Poster session
Posters should be A0 in size.
A prize will be awarded for the best poster chosen by popular vote!
Instructions for abstract submission
Abstract submissions are accepted only electronically via .
Acceptance is based on evaluation by the organising committee, and participants will be notified by email on March 26th.
All accepted abstracts will be published as an electronic book of abstracts.
Word and LaTeX templates are available for download below. The templates must be followed for the abstract to be considered for oral or poster presentation. Submission of the abstract requires conversion of the final document to PDF format. The registration form will not accept any other file format. Abstracts are limited to one page and the maximum file size is 20 MB.
