More than 80 contributors participated in JYU.Wisdom's joint effort to produce the book Interdisciplinary Perspectives on Planetary Well-Being. The book is available open access.
Now we're welcoming everyone to come and get familiar with the contents of the book and the JYU.Wisdom community. The book tour consists of 6 sessions, each devoted to 1-3 chapters and hosted by the faculty where those chapters have been authored.
This event series also serves as a reading club, so if you have time to read the chapter(s) in advance, you are encouraged to come and give your reflections on their topics - but no reading required!
Today's theme is cultural and decolonial perspectives. The following chapters will be discussed:
- Towards cultural transformation (Koistinen et al). Chapter 17.
- Local knowledge and global justice (Eskelinen et al). Chapter 8.
The event will be only on-site, no hybrid. Coffee and tea will be served.
Warmly welcome all!
