On April, our Academic Life Discussions event will focus on: Integration and sense of community in university and academic life

As in all fields, the world of academia increasingly involves internationalisation and cooperation outside the university, for example in the form of business partnerships.

The experience of community develops out of reciprocity and trust that builds up over time. However, it is also important to bear in mind that the community is not too close but responsive to newcomers. It is important to share good observations and experiences in order to create a pleasant atmosphere of community in our university and a sense of belonging that helps us all to flourish, thrive and to succeed together.

In this session, Professor Neil Cronin (Exercise Technology, LTK) and Associate Professor Arto Hautala (Physiotherapy, Rehabilitation, LTK). They will share their experiences of community engagement and integration with different communities, including the university community. Their discussion will be followed by an open dialogue.

Come and share your experiences and tips on the themes of community engagement!

There is no need to pre-register, everyone from any academic career stage is welcome! The language used in the event is English.
