If required in the application guidelines, upload other necessary documents as well:

  • faculty-specific documents (e.g. CV or motivation letter)

*If the country-specific document requirements require sending the transcript of records to the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ in an envelope sealed with the awarding institution’s official stamp across the back flap, the document can be delivered to the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ by mail only.

Send hard copies by post or courier service

In addition, you are required to send the following documents as paper copies by post:

  • officially certified copies of educational documents
  • official translations of educational documents, if needed

Before sending hard copies, please read carefully our

It is always the applicant’s responsibility to make sure that the application documents arrive at the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ before the application deadline. This is also the case if the documents arrive directly from the awarding institution. The admission decisions are made as scheduled, even if there is a delay caused by a third party, such as the post office, courier service, or customs.

To receive a confirmation of the arrival of your documents, please contact doctoral-admissions@jyu.fi.

Replacing a paper document with an official electronic document

We accept official electronic educational documents instead of officially certified paper copies if the document has been submitted in a manner approved by the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥. However, electronic documents may be accepted only if there is no country-specific requirement or if the requirement specifically permits electronic documents.
