Well-being, health and physical activity
The brain does not work in isolation from the rest of the body and its surroundings. Rather, the body and the brain influence each other, which has implications for health and well-being.
We adopt a wide concept of well-being. Our focus in health sciences lies on protective factors such as physical activity, in addition to which we study populations with mental disorders such as depression. We also provide special setups to study the nervous system in movement. Our equipment is used to conduct internationally acclaimed, high-level research in sport science at the Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences.
