The University Management Team and the extended University Management Team
The University Management Team supports JYU’s strategic and operative management and monitors matters that are important for the University as a whole. The team plans, creates ideas, discusses and shares important information, coordinates JYU’s operations and makes decisions.
As a rule, matters to be processed in the University Board are first discussed in the University Management Team. Coordinated matters include, for example, the profiling projects of the Academy of Finland, Lippulaiva projects and the distribution of JYU’s strategic funding.
The extended team meets four times a year. In addition to the regular members, the extended University Management Team includes the directors of independent institutes and the directors of University Services divisions.
The extended team discusses matters significant for the University’s operation: strategy, plans and policies, finance, performance, etc. The meetings are often implemented as workshops.
