JYULearn - a vision of learning

The idea behind JYULearn is to promote multi-sited learning and to involve the community in the development of pedagogically and digitally appropriate teaching practices.

Focus on learning spaces, agency and appropriate technology

JYULearn's experiments will help identify solutions that work and create new learning spaces. The aim is to develop teaching and learning environments that enable flexible and personalised learning styles and paths. JYULearn is based on the strategy development programmes and the related process-oriented curriculum work. On the basis of these, development needs have been identified and prioritised as development priorities. There are currently three:

  1. Collaboration and learning in multiple locations
  2. Key technologies for future learning (FUEL)
  3. Agency at the core of education

Within these themes, research-based experiments will be carried out in collaboration with teachers and students from different units. These experiments will give us more insight into the pedagogical solutions, technologies, facilities and support needed to make development work a permanent part of our teaching and learning activities.
