Education description

Doctoral students in the Doctoral Programme in Health Sciences at the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ complete their doctoral degrees at the Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences.

The doctoral programme in Health Sciences offers high-level PhD training and produces competitive researchers and academic experts who are prepared for the demands of professional life. The possible areas of specialisation in this doctoral programme are Physiotherapy, Gerontology and Public Health, Sport and Exercise Medicine, Health Promotion.

The scope of the dissertation must be designed so that the doctoral degree can be completed within three to four years of full-time work. For part-time doctoral students, the target time is determined at the time of acceptance, and it can be longer than four years.

In addition to the doctoral dissertation, the doctoral researcher must complete postgraduate studies required for the degree according to the valid curriculum.
