Smart-HSI: Smart hyperspectral imaging solutions for new era in Earth and planetary observations

Objective of the SMART-HSI consortium is to address the emerging field of HSI SmallSat/CubeSat constellations and its smart integration with AI based processing techniques. Subsequently, we aim to develop several key technologies as advanced HSI data processing algorithms or enhancements to HSI hardware enabling full and cost-efficient HSI-based sensing in planetary science and EO. In particular, we envision adoption of recent developments in miniaturized HSI sensors, spacecraft platforms, and automation in order to create a concept of smart, focused, semi-autonomous HSI missions.
