Project description
The study explores the legitimacy dynamics of the UN in relation to the transnational challenges including UN task to address human rights from the U.S. perspective, maritime security and UN and regional organization’s relationship and UN climate treaty system. The research group will focus on political debates within the United Nations about its legitimacy. The idea is to better understand UN’s legitimacy and how it has an effect to political decision-making. The four-year research project is funded by the Kone Foundation. The project will start in 2020 and will consist of the following research group Ph.D., Docent Anna Kronlund (leader of the research group), Ph.D., DocentTeemu Häkkinen and Ph.D. Ratih Adiputri
