Biography
I'm a post-doctoral researcher of Central European political history and history politics in the 20th Century. In my dissertation (2019) I analysed the debate over the concept of the nation and national history in the Hungarian parliament in the 1920s. My central reserarch interests lay in political language, especially history politics, national stereotypes as well as inclusive and exclusive national discourses.
Research interests
At present, I'm a member of the Academy of Finland research project Expellees and Ethno-National Categorizations in Europe 1943-1948 (principal investigator Professor Pertti Ahonen), specializing on the debate over the German-speaking population of Hungary, their deportation from Hungary in 1946-47, and the conflicting discourses about their ethno-cultural definition and belonging.
