Biography

I have a quite interdisciplinary background. I have a master's degree in engineering (1998), a licentiate in technology (2001), a physiotherapist (2007) and a master's degree in sport and health sciences (2023). I completed the latest master's degree because I wanted to combine my technical and physiological background. My master's thesis dealt with the classification of multimuscle responses induced by transcranial magnetic stimulation of the brain into categories according to cortical stimulation targets. In this work, I was able to use my physiotherapy and exercise science studies, as well as utilize my knowledge of artificial intelligence-based classification methods I previously studied in technology.

Research interests

Currently, I am a PhD researcher at the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ in the Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences. In my research, I study how proprioceptive signals modulate cortical motor output., i.e. how our senses of motion and position regulate the movement commands from the brain to the muscles.
