I am a professor of technology-enhanced language learning at the Centre for Applied Language Studies and a docent of experimental psycholinguistics and speech processing at the Departement of Languages at the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥. I am also a UNESCO Chair on Inclusive Literacy Learning for All as well as head of secretariat in the GraphoWORLD Network of Excellence. I am the leader of the multidisciplinary GraphoLearn (GraphoGame)/ Ekapeli research and development team.
My research is focused on reading and writing skill development in different languages and orthographies, dyslexia, interventions, skill assessments, phonology, speech processing, and evidence-based technology in language learning. I lead the multidisciplinary GraphoLearn team that has developed the evidence based GraphoLearn digital learning environment (info.GraphoLearn.com) for 30 languages to support learners in developing their reading and spelling skills.
