Biography

During the last forty years, I have ended up in all kinds of roles within the academic world. Hence my expertise is in knowing a bit about almost everything rather than knowing almost everything about some specific area. My factual work role is that of the "somebody" that will take care of the rest. Formally I am the head of computation science division and a member of the steering group of the Faculty of Information Technology.

Research interests

As professor of modelling and simulation I build and study models from different things but always for purpose. Be it paper machines, steel casting, crystal growth etc. In last years I have modeled the university - its funding, processes and quality control for better functioning of the university.
