Biography
As a research assistant in the Faculty of Information Technology, I have worked on multiple projects that involve solving actual business cases. We have closely collaborated with industries, e.g., to develop data-centric capabilities in a growth business ecosystem, design collaborative governance frameworks for a self-sovereign identity (SSI) ecosystem, and digitalize and automate legacy systems with smart contracts.
Currently, I look into open-source governance with container technology.
Beyond research, I have taught multiple bachelor and master-level courses in the faculty. In the academic year 2022-23, these courses included Advanced Systems Development and Fuzzy Front End Podcast. In the previous, the students learn the basics of Model Driven Engineering and apply Domain Specific Modeling principles in practice. In the first university-level podcast course in Finland, we discuss design and awaken the inner Shapers and Planners in engineering students too.
Research interests
I research digital business ecosystems and their governance. Collaborating closely with industries, I have developed Ecosystem Governance Compass — a tool built on domain-specific modeling. This tool helps businesses to strategically design and operate their ecosystems, covering areas like Governance, Business, Technology, and Legal & Regulatory Context.
Currently, I am evaluating the tool's effectiveness in shaping digital ecosystems. This work is part of the Information System Science research at the Faculty of Information Technology.
For companies aiming to strengthen their dynamic business ecosystem capabilities, this research offers valuable insights and tools to navigate and thrive in interconnected business environments.
