Biography
I am a university teacher of communication at the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥. Additionally, I am finalizing my PhD about technology-mediated communication in remote work. I am a member of the CoCoDigi research team which studies communication and collaboration on digital platforms.
My teaching duties are in the Communication Studies programme, and include, among other things, supervising Bachelor's theses in communication.
Research interests
My research focuses on technology-mediated communication, especially in work settings. In my doctoral dissertation, I study technology-mediated communication in the context of remote work and the COVID-19 pandemic. My research interests include expectations, norms and practices related to the use of communication technologies, perceptions of virtual and physical spaces in organizations, as well as the negotiations related to remote and hybrid work.
In addition, I am interested in the datafication of work, i.e., the use of data and digital traces in organizations. I am studying the effects of datafication in media organizations as part of the DataMedia research project. I am interested in how organizations communicate about data, how data is used for monitoring purposes, and what are the consequences of data usage on employees' well-being and collaboration.
