Petri Böckerman
Biography
Petri Böckerman, professor of health economics, received his doctoral degree in economics in 2003. He has been a research economist at Labour Institute for Economic Research since 1996. Böckerman is a research fellow at IZA Institute of Labor Economics and the Royal Society for Public Health and an adjunct professor (i.e. “dosentti” in Finnish) at Turku School of Economics and University of Tampere.
His research uses a variety of survey and administrative data sets to study issues related to health and labour economics. Additional information can be found at:
He has published in journals, including American Journal of Health Economics, ILR Review, Journal of Applied Econometrics, Journal of Economic Behavior and Organization, Journal of Health Economics, Journal of Human Capital, Journal of Human Resources, Journal of the European Economic Association, and Journal of the Royal Statistical Society: Series A. He has evaluated manuscripts for numerous journals such as JAMA, Journal of Health Economics, Journal of Human Resources, Journal of Labor Economics, and Review of Economics and Statistics.
