Biography

I am a materials scientist with educational background in experimental materials physics and strong interest in understanding the structure and structure-property relationships of complex materials. I have built my scientific career around characterizing the nanoscale structure of lignocelluloses and other soft bio-based materials with X-ray and neutron scattering. I have particularly used and developed these methods for wood and wood-based materials, studying for instance the moisture interaction of wood nanostructure.

I work currently as Accosiate Professor and Academy Research Fellow at the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥, Department of Physics, leading the Multiscale Materials Characterization research group.
