I carry out fieldwork in Hungary where I also work as associate professor/docent of sociology at the Faculty of Social Sciences, at Eötvös Loránd University.
I have a background in humanities too and I have worked, taught at published within the intersecting fields of language, communication and sociology.
Research interests
My main research interest is focused on the relationship of language, power and identity. I work within an interdisciplinary, critical tradition, trying to understand how language and other symbolic forms of communication shape identities and power relations. My research has mostly concentrated on how categories like gender and migration are created through discourse both in interpersonal interactions and on traditional and social media platforms.
