
Marleena Mustola
Research interests
Marleena Mustola, senior lecturer of early childhood education research at the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥, Finland, specializes in educational philosophy, childhood studies, and children's culture. In 2023, she received title of docent in early childhood education research, especially children's culture, and in 2011 PhD in art education from the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥. Currently she works in the profiling area SOSUS Social Sustainability for Children and Families. She serves as a board member of the Finnish Network of History and Philosophy of Education and as an editor of JECER - Journal of Early Childhood Education Research. She has served e.g. as a board member of the Finnish Society for Childhood Studies (2013-2023), also as a vice president (2016-2018). She has edited books and special issues and published articles in several national and international journals as well as in edited collections. She is currently working on research designs that combine educational research with philosophy and/or cultural studies.
