Research interests
I work as a postdoctoral researcher at the Gerontology Research Centre in the Faculty of Sport and Health Sciences and in the JYU.Well, an interdisciplinary community of wellbeing researchers, at the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥. In my research, I examine the associations of the built and natural environment with activity and well-being, and how different contextual factors are shown in these associations. I focus in particular on older people and their everyday environment. In my research, I often combine survey data with geospatial data. I aim to produce information that will increase understanding of the environment's role in older adults' activity and well-being and that can be applied to designing environments supporting activity and well-being.
