Biography
I work as a senior lecturer in developmental psychology at the Department of Psychology. I am trained as a psychologist (MA), researcher (PhD) and teacher (pedagogical competence in adult education). I own title of docent at the University of Eastern Finland in the field of Psychology, especially Well-being and Health in Environments. I am actively involved in the JYU.Wisdom research community.
My research interests include research topics related to the promotion of mental well-being and physical health, especially from the perspective of early risk factors. I have studied e.g. effects of psychological factors on physical aging, by measuring telomere length. Recently, I have been particularly interested in the intertwining of the well-being of people and nature and the utilization of nature interventions for different ages.
