Games
I am a postdoctoral researcher focusing on theories of aesthetics, digital gameplay and subjectivity.
My research combines theoretical perspectives from philosophical aesthetics and game studies. I investigate aesthetic experiences of actions, practices, habits and styles, and their relations to self-formation and being-in-the-world. Regarding games, my research focuses on aesthetic experiences of agency in terms of rules and game mechanics, playstyles, rhythms, habitual practices of play, and the meaning of gameplay in regard to self-formation and the relation between self and others.
