Biography
I am a PhD student in general history, as well as a part-time project manager and an associate researcher for the Academy of Finland Professor Project: Political Representation - Tensions between Parliament and the People from the Age of Revolutions to the 21st Century.
My dissertation uses comparative conceptual history and digital humanities to analyse representation and its related concepts. Through the use of the People and Parliament -interface developed in the project, my research aims to explore British and Swedish parliaments from the 1830s to the early 1910s, and answer to questions such as in which ways and for what means the parliamentarians used or abused the American example when discussing representation at home.
