
Heikki Lehkonen
Biography
I have completed my PhD in Economics at the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ in 2014. Additionally, I hold master’s degrees in Economics from 2008 and Mathematics from 2007. Since 2008, I have worked at the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ as an assistant, doctoral candidate, and university teacher. As a university researcher, I have been working since 2020.
I have also served as a visiting researcher at Columbia University in New York, the University of Missouri, City University of Hong Kong, the National University of Singapore, the University of Melbourne, and the Research Institute of the Finnish Economy (ETLA).
I am a member of the International Macroeconomics and Finance Research Group (JyIMaF) at Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics. My research focuses on financial markets, international finance, emerging markets, as well as to sustainable finance.
Research interests
My research examines the functioning and integration of international financial markets, as well as the factors influencing them. The findings contribute new insights for both the scientific community and decision-makers, including investors.
