My research on language assessment that supports learning can be broadly positioned at the intersection of language assessment and language education. I, namely, research language teaching, learning, and assessment as dialectically related, and I study these in the process of change in interaction between theory and practice. My research is informed by sociocultural theory and Vygotskian praxis. Some specific research topics I engage with include dynamic assessment, assessment literacy, teacher development in praxis, and learner development.
