I am a senior researcher at the Centre for Applied Language Studies of the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥. I research language assessment as a part of teaching and learning process. My particular focus is teaching, learning, and assessment from the Sociocultural Theory perspective. My further research areas include Vygotskian praxis, dynamic assessment, assessment literacy.
I am the vice-director of the DD-Lang project. I am a member of and an editor-in-chief of the . Internationally, I am a member of the Coordinating Committee and serve on the editorial boards of the and the journal.
My research on language assessment that supports learning can be broadly positioned at the intersection of language assessment and language education. I, namely, research language teaching, learning, and assessment as dialectically related, and I study these in the process of change in interaction between theory and practice. My research is informed by sociocultural theory and Vygotskian praxis. Some specific research topics I engage with include dynamic assessment, assessment literacy, teacher development in praxis, and learner development.
