Research on forest biodiversity and ecosystem services reveals opportunities for reconciliation of efficient wood production with environmental sustainability and social uses. The research provides necessary information for achieving multiple use by all agents that benefit from Finnish forests.

ResForest "Enhancing resilience in boreal forests to face climate change challenges"

ResForest aims at strengthening the socio-ecological resilience of Finnish forests by assessing how forest dynamics and forest owners’ preferences and decisions might enhance or limit the resilience of forest ecosystems.
