Biography
I am Assistant Professor of Communication at the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥, Finland. Previously, I worked as a post-doctoral researcher in Organizational Communication at the Aalto University School of Business, Finland.
My research is positioned in the field of organizational communication, and lies at the intersection of communication and organizational studies. In my research, I draw on a communicative relationality perspective that emphasizes the primacy of relations between humans and other-than-humans in understanding organizational phenomena. A distinctive feature of my research is its focus on space, temporality, and affect in organizations and organizing. For example, I explore how the rhythms and atmospheres of contemporary workspaces shape collaboration and entrepreneurial creativity, and how changes in the spatial settings of work are related to inequalities among organizational members. My research has been published in journals such as Organization Studies, Human Relations, Academy of Management Annals, Management Learning, and Culture and Organization. I am an editorial review board member of Organization Studies.
