
Antti Rautiainen
Biography
Antti Rautiainen is a professor of accounting at JSBE. His wide research and teaching interests cover management accounting, the changing roles of accounting professionals, public sector accounting, financial statement analysis, auditing, internal auditing and accounting information systems. The common focus is the changing accounting work and the relevance of accounting information. Professor Rautiainen is the current Finnish representative in the board of the European Accounting Association, and he actively participates in editorial board and reviewer work.
Research interests
The research areas of Antti Rautiainen include performance measurement, case research, public sector accounting, auditing and financial accounting as well as accounting information systems. This wide research focus involves relevant and practical topics, such as the effects of digitalization on work roles of controllers and internal auditors, and may thus enhance the cost-effectiveness of public and private organizations. Besides publications, the multiple methodologies and research topics covered by professor Rautiainen help in guidance and in teaching, thereby being helpful to various accounting scholars and practitioners.
