The opening day’s programme includes a traditional part: the Opening service (in Finnish only) and the Ceremonial Opening of the Academic Year including Rector’s speech.

The evening part consists of a show where the entire university community will be welcomed into the new academic year! 

All the students of the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ and those working at the university are welcome to join the Opening Festivities!

Opening night show from 7 p.m.

Students and staff of the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ will be offered an magnificent show and a BEHM concert!

During the opening night we will celebrate the new academic year and our community spirit with a two-hour show, during which we will meet some members of our university community and see some dance, theater and a surprise music performance. The atmosphere of the evening is taken care of by Movi's bright presenters. The main performer of the evening is singer-songwriter BEHM.

At 1:00 p.m. Ceremonial Opening of the Academic Year
The Opening Ceremony will be available as a live stream.

The traditional programme includes Rector’s opening speech, Student Union's speech, academic procession and energetic performances by ISO traditional dancers and Jaguars Spirit Athletes. The link to watch the ceremony will be published here.

At 12:00 p.m. Opening service
The opening service will be held online and in Old festival hall of Seminarium (S212). A maximum of 50 people will be admitted to the hall on a first-come, first-served basis. The link to watch the service will be published here. The service is held in Finnish.
