The assessment surveyed over 2,152 universities from 125 countries. Seven Finnish universities were included.

In addition to a general ranking, universities were given positions in 17 different categories with different goals.

JYU reached best results in the goal areas of climate action, life below water, life on land, responsible consumption and production, and partnerships for the goals, in all of which the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ ranked between 101 and 200.

For the sixth time, Times Higher Education published an impact ranking, which is based on assessing universities from the perspective of how they promote and implement the United Nations’ sustainable development goals.

The ranking methodology is based on 17 sustainable development goals of the United Nations. They have been taken down to various qualitative and quantitative indicators that measure the impact, sustainability and responsibility of universities. Data for the assessment are collected directly from the universities and the Elsevier publication database.
