Stefan Baumeister tours Europe at the FORTHEM Green Travel Road Show - Follow Stefan's journey and learn new things about green travel!

JYU membership in the FORTHEM Alliance has significantly increased staff and student mobility to these European partner universities in recent years. This is a great development, bringing new experiences and perspectives to our work. However, there are concerns about climate change and the impact of travel emissions.
In FORTHEM Alliance collaboration, Senior Lecturer, Adjunct Professor Stefan Baumeister will leave for a European tour to visit our partner universities in the alliance, choosing environmental-friendly transportation modes. He will be on the road for almost a month, give lectures/presentations, organize workshops etc targeted to students and staff in the partner universities and also collect data for future research. The organisation of this road show is also a nice example of the collaboration of the FORTHEM offices in each partner university.
The purpose of the FORTHEM Green Travel Road Show is to
- create awareness towards the Green Travel option
- motivate students and staff to use Green Travel
- collect data to better understand the obstacles of Green Travel and how these can be overcome
- provide practical and easy accessible information on Green travel to all FORTHEM Alliance members, its students and staff.
