Open University cultivates international collaboration

Last week, JYU Open University welcomed a visitor group from Germany.
The delegation consisted of staff: Nicholas Quaintmere, Daniel Löhlein and Kerstin Langhein from the international office, and Doris Meyer from the sociology department. The group spent the week in Jyväskylä exploring the way our open university operates.
One of the topics of interest to the visitor group was the internationalisation and mobility of university students and staff.
”It has been really valuable to reflect on the practices of our field within another European university," agreed the FernUniversität group.
JYUOpen promotes internationalisation by e.g. supporting staff mobility and the development of language skills. International visitor groups are welcomed year-round during Staff Visit Weeks.
