New system for enrolling for studies – activate Sisu now!

Students use Sisu for study planning and monitoring as well as for enrolling for studies. At first, you must create a study plan template in Sisu. All who have started their studies in autumn 2017 or thereafter can create the study plan already now in Sisu. Those who have started their studies earlier can create the plan in August at the latest.
Sisu keeps updating all the time, so don’t worry if your study rights or degree programmes haven´t been transferred over Sisu yet.
Your study plan template must be activated in Sisu before you can register for studies. The study plan doesn´t need to be ready yet, but you need to add all the courses you want to enrol for.
In Sisu the order in which students enrol for courses is no longer a criteria of acceptance to courses. Thus you don’t have to worry even if you cannot create a study plan template and enrol for courses right away in the beginning of August.
You can find Sisu at sisu.jyu.fi.
Do as follows:
- Create a study plan template.
- Browse study offering (see instructions).
- You can plan and schedule studies for the academic year 2019–2020.
- Enrolment for studies in Sisu is possible from 1 August. Please note that the start time of enrolment varies for different studies.
Here you can find a quick guide to course enrolment.
Did you know this about Sisu?
Sisu will gradually replace Korppi by autumn 2020. Enrolment for the courses of Open University and staff training remains in Korppi.
Sisu is a joint project of universities and will also be introduced in Aalto University, the University of Helsinki, the Lappeenranta University of Technology and the University of Tampere.
The University of Jyväskylä has actively participated in the design of the Sisu system and we are the first university to deploy Sisu extensively. Benefits of a common system include national compatibility, interoperability and possibility for cross-institutional studies.
