The doors of renovated ´³²â±¹Ã¤²õ°ì²â±ôä University Library Lähde will open on 30 August at 7.30 a.m. to students, staff members and other citizens. Please follow the general safety instructions: take care of the safety distance and good hand hygiene and follow the face mask recommendation! Come to campus only when you are healthy.

Opening times:

• Lähde is open Mon-Fri 7.30-21, Sat 7.30-17 and Sun 11-16.
• The library's customer service is open Mon-Fri from 10 am to 8 pm and Sat from 11 am to 4 pm.
• Restaurant Taide is open Mon-Fri 10.30-16 and Café Tiede Mon-Fri 7.30-16 (from 30 August to 30 September).

Please note, that the facilities and functionalities will be completed step by step during the autumn, and staff relocations will also take place over several weeks.

From Monday August 30 these services and premises will be available in Lähde:

• The library operations will start at Lähde on August 30. The customer service desk of the library is located on the upper ground floor of Lähde. Course books and general research literature are located on the lower ground floor.
• Restaurant Taide and café Tiede will open on 30 August. The restaurant serves Kela-supported student lunch and the café offers various healthy and delicious products as well as a Market 24/7 self-service outlet.
• Study and work spaces on different floors. Please note that the equipment of the premises, for example computers and other technical equipment, is still in progress. Please bring your own laptop!
• The service desk of Digital Services is located on the 3rd floor in Lähde and it opens on 30 August at 9 a.m. There you find help and advice for the use of IT services as well as for problems related to user credentials. Where necessary, the service desk forwards feedback and questions further to relevant experts.
• The new Student Life facilities serve as a centre for guidance and activities that support wellbeing during studies. The premises will open on 30 August and during the first week there will be open doors, including presentations of different wellbeing actors and activities, short reception times, guided wellbeing exercises, and snacks and raffles.
• Student lounge ´¡±ô°ì³Ü±ôä³ó»å±ð is located on the upper ground floor. This facility is intended for all students of the University of ´³²â±¹Ã¤²õ°ì²â±ôä. You can go to ´¡±ô°ì³Ü±ôä³ó»å±ð freely to study, do some groupwork or meet fellow students.

During the first weeks, lobby guides will be guiding users to the building’s services.

The versatile study and groupwork facilities of Lähde will be opened in steps during the autumn. The second and third floors will have teaching facilities equipped with latest technology.

Lähde will become an open gateway for research knowledge, also for the general public. Lähde will have facilities for public events related to research, science and art education. The opening ceremony of Lähde will take place in January 2022.
