JYU Staff Week: Building bridges and partnerships - Meeting point Jyväskylä, 10 - 14 March 2025

Welcome to the International Staff Week event at the Ģֱ during 10th – 14th March 2025. During this week we'll focus on how to promote the internationalization of our universities by making the most of physical and digital methods of participation. This event offers a unique opportunity to network, share good practices, and develop new strategies to promote global collaboration. Participants can expect inspiring presentations, interactive workshops, and practical examples of how physical and digital possibilities can be utilized in teaching, mobilities and mobility management. 

All participants are expected to contribute to the content of the week and present the practices and experiences from their home university. The week will be organized as an Erasmus+ Blended Intensive Programme, which means that participants are expected to participate the entire week and also a virtual session will be organized either before or after the event.  

Tracks

The tracks have been planned to cover a wide range of issues in internationalization and personalized teaching 

  • Track 1: Managing student mobilities (open for representatives of all JYU partner universities, coordinated by JYU International Office) 
  • Track 2: Erasmus Without Paper (EWP) in FORTHEM universities (only for representatives of FORTHEM universities) 
  • Track 3: Good practices for personalizing digital learning and teaching (open for representatives of all JYU partner universities, coordinated by JYU Open University) 
  • Additionally, joint sessions on green travel and internationalisation plan for studies will be offered for the participants of all three tracks  

In addition to the sessions in the above topics, time will be allocated also for meetings with JYU colleagues at the International Office and the JYU faculties. Furthermore, the week will include get-togethers and a possibility of getting to know the city of Jyväskylä a bit better. 

Target  group and number of participants

The target group for the tracks 1 and 3 are colleagues from all JYU partner universities. The track 2 is open only to representatives from the FORTHEM Alliance universities. 

The maximum number of participants for the staff week is 45. The maximum number of participants from each FORTHEM university is four, and from other partner universities it is two. For track 1, the maximum number of participants from each FORTHEM university is two.

Please fill in the by 11December 2024 at the latest. Invitation letters will be sent to chosen participants by 19 December.
