JYU contributes strong scientific competence to the Hippos2020 project

The Ģֱ will become a significant stakeholder in the Hippos wellbeing centre, which is part of the Hippos2020 project.

JYU and Lehto Group have signed a long-term lease contract on Monday, 21 January 2019.

JYU has reserved office space for its researchers and facilities for research in sport and health sciences. From the entity of around 3,000 square metres, the share of the office facilities is 1,330 and the research facilities 1,670.

“The competence network of both public and private operators create an exceptional environment for international state-of-the-art research and enable an increasing social impact. The University wants to participate in the construction of the competence centre with the expertise of the sole faculty of sports and health sciences in Finland,” says Rector Keijo Hämäläinen.
