JSBE deans for 2018 - 2021
After hearing the faculty councils, the Rector of the Ä¢¹½Ö±²¥ Keijo Hämäläinen has named the deans of faculties for the term of office from 1 January 2018 to 31 December 2021. The Head of Corporate Environmental Management Hanna-Leena Pesonen will continue as the dean of Jyväskylä University School of Business and Economics. Pesonen has her Ph.D. in environmental management and M.Sc. degree in marketing, and holds her current position as professor since 2001.
The dean positions are full-time. In addition to faculty management, deans are part of the University Management Team and, thus, broadly responsible for the development of the whole University.
Each dean appoints two vice deans responsible for research and innovation activities and education at the faculty. Dean Pesonen named professor Vilma Luoma-aho (research) and professor Anna-Maija Lämsä (education) for the JSBE vice deans.
In addition to faculty management teams, vice deans participate, according to their responsibility areas, in the Science Council and the Education Council led by vice rectors.
