ImpleÂmenÂtaÂtion of stuÂdy data sysÂtem Sisu in 2019 for stuÂdents
The implementation of Sisu advances: course enrolment moves to Sisu in autumn 2019

Published
8.4.2019
In August 2019, functionalities regarding course enrollment, enrollment administration, grading and registration of completed courses are moved from the study data system Korppi to the study data system Sisu.
As of 1 August 2019, students enroll for courses in Sisu instead of Korppi.
In Sisu, the student
- Creates a personal study plan (HOPS) and a timeline for his/her studies (See guide)
- o The degree structures of students studying in degree programmes (starting from the 2017-2020 curricula) support making the study plan
- o Students studying in major based programmes still maintain their eHOPS in Korppi. However, they have to create an outlined study plan in Sisu to be able to enroll for courses. Courses and study modules can be added to the study plan when necessary.
- o Students completing studies not leading to a degree will also create an outline of a study plan in Sisu
- Browses the courses offered during the ongoing academic year either through his/her personal study plan or the course search tool
- Plans his/her schedule in the study calendar and notices possible overlaps in his/her study schedule, based on which he/she decides for which study groups to enroll
- Enrolls for study groups
- o Enrollment for general faculty exams during the autumn semester 2019 takes place in the study data system Korppi; in Sisu, a link guides from the course’s details to the enrollment page in Korppi. Enrollment for exams takes place in Sisu starting from spring semester 2020.
- o Learning environments remain the same, e.g. Moodle and Koppa
- o Course feedback is given in Webropol
- Sees the completion stage of his/her studies and his/her completed studies
Next, the functionalities for students in Sisu will expand to applying for the compilation of a completed study module and degree. These services are currently being tested, and students will be notified of their implementation schedule later. Major based students will apply for a compilation of a completed study module and degree in Korppi.
